We are seeking a Lubrication Technician at our lumber mill in Silver Creek, MS. The primary purpose of the position is to lubricate machinery, perform routine maintenance, and ensure equipment operates smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain manufacturing lubrication requirements according to the mill’s lubrication schedule.
• Oiling and greasing parts of machinery, including bearings, sprockets, drive chains, gears, and pulleys.
• Ensuring proper lubrication levels and applying the correct type of lubricant.
• Responsible for documenting maintenance activities in the work order system and updating lubrication records as required.
• Responsible for taking oil samples for analysis.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery prior to and after lubrication.
• Manage inventory of filters and repair/spare parts.
• Use tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrications functions.
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness of lubrication storage and dispensing equipment.
• Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed.
• Work closely with our maintenance team to identify and resolve issues.
• Report any machinery defects or malfunctions to millwright and supervisor.
• Adherence to all mill environmental, safety, and health policies and practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ideal candidates should have knowledge/experience in lubrication, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
• Basic computer skills for logging work orders and maintaining maintenance records.
• An aptitude for learning mechanical skills. Mechanical aptitude test required.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and responsibly.
• Ability to understand, clearly communicate, and follow all safety rules and policies.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
Physical Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ideal candidates should have knowledge/experience in lubrication, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment.
