What are the responsibilities and job description for the Event Support Staff position at Hood River County Fairgrounds?
Job Overview:
Work as needed, non-benefited, no guarantee of hours
Performs basic manual tasks related to cleaning and restocking bathrooms, emptying garbage containers, cleaning the grounds, sweeping and mopping building floors, and answering questions from the public, maintaining flower beds and having the attention to detail in cleaning buildings as well as the flower beds.
Will be needed for all craft fairs and longer hours during fair time which is last 3 weeks in July fair being the 23rd through the 26th during that time.
Minimum Qualifications: Any combination of course work, experience and/or training that provides necessary knowledge, skills and ability necessary to perform the duties of the position.
Physical Demands: Works in an indoor or outdoor environment with exposure to sun and outside temperature extremes, dust, pollen, bee stings and limited noxious odors. Requires bending, gripping with hands and fingers, hearing voice conversations, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing for long periods of time, stooping, twisting body, and walking. May require wearing rubber or plastic gloves.

- 4 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
