The 2025 Migrant Summer School program will include 15 student contact days and time for staff training/professional development and is tentatively anticipated to begin in July 2025.

Overview:
Leads the program management, coordination, and monitoring of instructional services for summer school, budgeting, and Title I-C Summer School Grant oversight in collaboration with the HRCSD Migrant Education Program staff. This director will also support with the coordination of Extended School Year and Credit Recovery.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists with the hiring process of teachers and assistants for summer school program.
- Coordinates services such as busing, food, and community partner program.
- Prepares and coordinates scheduling.
- Manages student discipline program effectively and fairly.
- Provides general direction to summer school staff.
- Ensures student attendance, reports (including Title I-C), are completed in a timely manner.
- Completes required state reports

Minimum Requirements for the 2025 Migrant Summer School Director:
Possess a valid Oregon Teaching License and a TSPC Administrator or Principal License or apply for a TSPC License for Conditional Assignment for a Principal License by the time the assignment begins.
- Experience and knowledge working with diverse cultures and English Language Learners.
- Preference will be given for employees with prior administrative or quasi-administrative experience with supervising and evaluating staff as well as enrollment/completion of an Administrative Licensure Program.
Compensation will be based on the 2024/25 Administrative salary schedule for Elementary Principals at step 1 and will be paid in a lump sum at the completion of the summer school program.
