What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pressure Washer Kitchen Hood Cleaning - OVERNIGHT position at HOODZ?
HOODZ of Central Iowa is looking for full-time Spray Techs - experience NOT required - hands-on, on-the-job training.
Starting at $19 an hour.
As a Spray Tech, you work with a crew leader help prevent fires and keep commercial kitchens safe by cleaning the exhaust systems with a big emphasis on:
- Pressure washing the rooftop exhaust fan,
- Pressure washing, scraping, wiping down, and polishing the kitchen exhaust hood,
- Cleaning up the work area (taking out used materials, mopping, etc.), and
- Documenting the clean with before and after pictures.
It is a team effort and all team members are expected to assist with all aspects of getting the job to HOODZ quality standards.

- Positive attitude with a desire to work hard for the crews success every shift
- Open availability to work shifts overnight Monday through Friday (4PM through 9AM)
- Valid Iowa driver’s license and safe driving record (no SR restrictions)
- Pass background and motor vehicle check
- Pass a drug test
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Climb 28 foot extension ladders to access rooftop portion of jobs
- Ability to work on your feet for 10 hour shifts
- Ability to work in small/tight areas (wiping down inside restaurant hoods/ducts)
- Ability to work on knees for 30 minute at at time
Salary : $19
