Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our dynamic team. This role involves managing guest relations, handling transactions, and providing exceptional service in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere.
- Manage seating arrangements and waitlists efficiently to optimize restaurant flow.
- Take phone reservations and provide accurate information regarding menu items and specials.
- Process customer orders using the Aloha POS system, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Handle cash and credit transactions with precision while maintaining a balanced cash drawer.
- Assist guests with inquiries, providing information about menu items and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness of the front-of-house area, including the host stand and dining area.
- Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to enhance guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not required.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to help guests enjoy their dining experience.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks related to the role.
