We are recruiting for a low boy truck driver/large equipment delivery.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspection of lowboy, complete time cards, and any other reports required by the company or a regulatory agency with proper jurisdiction.
- Load and unload equipment in a safe, swift, efficient manner.
- Must be able to get in and out of truck and on and off lowboy swiftly as this position requires this many times per day.
- Drive truck to deliver product in a safe, efficient, timely manner.
- Use radio as needed in a professional, polite manner.
- Must wear seat belt at all times, hearing protection, safety vest and hardhat when required.
- Demonstrate willingness to follow the directions by the person dispatching for loading and delivering items rented/sold.
- Must be willing to follow all safety policies established by Hooker Creek Companies as well as those required by regulatory agency with proper jurisdiction.
- Identify and report to mechanics any service related problems that may affect the safe, efficient operation.
- Responsible for tools, tire chains, company radios and all other items provided by Hooker Creek which may be necessary for safe, competent operation of company.
- Responsible for fueling and adding other fluids as needed.
- Responsible for insuring proper maintenance, cleanliness and performance of any company vehicle assigned.
- Demonstrate ability and willingness to work extended hours (including weekends) as directed, to insure completion of project in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of rental and sales supplies we carry.
- Knowledge of DOT highway rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of properly tying down equipment on lowboy.
- Skills to use rental equipment controls properly.
- Ability to think and move quickly and react properly when unexpected happens and continually review in mind what reaction will be taken in numerous emergency scenarios.
- Ability to lift 80 pounds.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and all other contacts.
- Knowledge of Hooker Creek's expectations for quality, professional, service oriented mannerism.
- Ability to display professional appearance and demeanor (public relations).
