Job Description
This position will be based out of our Grand Rapids, Michigan production office.
The candidate for this position must have the ability to working with a "TEAM" environment, be professional, have a passion to continue to learn, have a desire to deliver quality work, take pride in their work, and have an appreciation of the importance of their role on the team to deliver successful projects.
You will be responsible for assisting the project team efforts for effective execution of project design and the delivery of construction documents. More specifically, you will be charged with developing and managing the execution of the modeling, content, sheets, detailing, and ultimately responsible in delivering a high-quality construction documentation set within strict adherence to HDJ BIM and graphic standards. You will work closely with the design team, consultants, and will be responsible for model coordination across all parties.
Job Requirements
Qualifications include :
- Associates degree in Architectural Technology and / or a minimum of 3 years' experience working in all phases of architectural drafting, detailing, scheduling and coordination.
- The perfect candidate may also have basic to intermediate knowledge of mechanical, electrical, civil and structural engineering.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in the use and operation of Autodesk Revit.
- Demonstrated ability to set-up and create drawing sheets from models consisting of plans, elevations, sections and details.
- Basic knowledge of building codes preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
- Knowledge of procedures and sequencing of construction documents.
- Excellent written, verbal & visual communication skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
- Excellent planning and organization skills required for our fast-paced and multitasking environment, with the ability to coordinate this information across disciplines.
- Self-motivated and ability to work productively in a 'hybrid remote work' situation.
