Position: Contractor Videographer
Location: Odenton and surrounding areas.
Event Dates: Sep 14
Requirements:
- Experience: Must have experience filming basketball or similar sports.
- Shooting Format:
- Landscape (Horizontal) orientation
- Shoot in 4k or 1080p at 60 fps
- LOG or Standard Color
Equipment:
- DSLR or Mirrorless camera or similar
- 3 batteries
- 24mm-105mm lens or similar
- Handheld
- SD card 64gb or more
- External mic is a plus
Responsibilities:
- We want enough material to create a highlight tape that includes scoring, rebounds, defense, and assists
- Get candid shots of the players when you aren’t filming any premium players in the game
- No editing required; deliver raw footage.
- Organize files based on the instructions provided
- Upload footage to Hoop Brothers' Google Drive.
Sample of Shot list:
- 30-40 sec Player interview after they check in and get their jersey: (Find a good spot in the gym to shoot this interview)
- 2 Questions to answer: (Subject to change)
- What does basketball mean to you?
- Who inspires you to play hard?
- Capture clips of player doing the following:
- Warm-ups (15 or more clips)
- Close shots and medium shots
- Drills (15 or more clips)
- Candid Shots (10 or more clips)
- During Game play:
- Shoot from baseline for one quarter, opposite side for one quarter, and side line for one quarter, and last quarter pick your best position. (If applicable)
- Film when the player(s) you are responsible for is playing in the game (DON’T MISS ANY ACTION)
- Focus should be on player and basket
- If filming multiple players at the same time follow the ball so you don’t miss any of the action
- Film a “dead clip” after a player does a highlight in a game - 1-2 second clip with your hand over the camera
