General Summary
An experienced driver will help deliver materials and equipment to and from job sites and help with tasks around the warehouse shop as needed.
Principal Accountabilities
- Operates all types of Class A CDL equipment and standard pickup trucks to make deliveries to job sites.
- Loads and secures materials on vehicle and often manually unloads vehicle.
- Conducts pre-trip inspection of delivery vehicle to assure that vehicle is safe to drive and roadworthy.
- Operates forklift as needed.
- Carries out duties of laborer to supplement shop labor needs and cleaning etc.
- Interacts in a team environment.
- Performs other duties/special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one-year CDL driving experience with a good driving record.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Reliable with capability of working independently.
- Ability to get along well with others in a team setting.
- Ability to deliver and unload on field constructions sites in all kinds of weather.
- The ability to climb up and down ladders and steps is required.
- Ability to lift materials up to 75 pounds on a regular basis with frequent twisting, bending, and turning.
