Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Wine Educator to join our team as a part-time representative with potential for full-time employment. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for wine education, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of winemaking processes.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver comprehensive wine education programs for customers and trade partners
- Host wine tastings and events to foster brand awareness and drive sales growth
- Provide expert advice on wine pairings and recommend Hoopes Vineyard products
- Utilize effective communication and interpersonal skills to close wine sales and build strong relationships with customers
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Viticulture, Enology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven track record in wine education, wine pairing, and wine sales
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and educate diverse audiences
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in the wine industry, preferably in winemaking or viticulture
- Self-motivated individual with a team-first mentality
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions and on uneven surfaces
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- 21 years old with a valid driver's license
