Job Description
We're seeking an experienced Wine Educator to join our team as a part-time representative with potential for full-time employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering wine education programs, hosting wine tastings, and providing expert advice on wine pairings.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging wine education programs for diverse audiences
- Host wine tastings and events to enhance customer experiences
- Provide expert advice on wine pairings and recommend Hoopes Vineyard products
- Closing wine sales through effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Maintain a thorough understanding of winemaking processes and our estate-grown wines
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Viticulture, Enology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven expertise in wine education, wine pairing, and wine sales
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and educate diverse audiences
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Previous experience in the wine industry, preferably in winemaking or viticulture
- Self-motivated individual with a team-first mentality
- Physical ability to lift 40 pounds and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working outdoors in varied weather conditions and on uneven surfaces
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
- 21 years old with a valid driver's license
