Our CNAs provide individualized and quality resident care under the direction of our Nursing team.
Summary:
Provides direct care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being, while maintaining a clean and safe environment. Supports nurses and assists with resident care plans and assessments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide daily direct care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and assisting with food consumption, transfers, and ambulation.
- Offer emotional support to residents, fostering trust and communication with them and their families.
- Monitor and report changes in resident conditions to the Charge Nurse.
- Assist with health needs by accurately measuring vital signs, intake/output, and food consumption. Document care and assist during treatments and medical procedures.
- Maintain safety and infection control practices. Respond promptly to call lights or alarms and report any safety concerns.
- Participate in care planning, implementation, and evaluation, communicating suggestions to the Charge Nurse.
- Perform administrative functions such as prioritizing tasks, attending meetings, reviewing policies, and completing required in-service education.
- Assist with quality assessments, surveys, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred; at least one year of related experience preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Successful completion of a nurse assistant training program and certification exam.
