Customer Service Representative (CSR) Role Overview
The Hoosier Hills Insurance Agency (HHIA) Customer Service Representative ensures that Hoosier Hills Credit Union (HHCU) members and insureds receive exceptional customer service. This role focuses on maintaining and strengthening relationships by providing support, answering inquiries, handling policy changes, processing payments, assisting with insurance claims, and supporting the completion of new and renewal policy applications.
Mission and Service:
• Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external members, aligning with HHCU's Service Promises.
• Build rapport and establish strong relationships with members by providing consistent, high-quality service.
• Process payments, maintain account records, and complete insurance applications accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records in agency management systems, communicate with insurance carriers, and process documents with agencies such as the BMV.
• Serve as the first point of contact for members, whether in-person or over the phone, and assist with mail handling.
• Provide valuable insurance solutions to members by understanding their needs and offering appropriate products and services.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members, sharing important information and progress on tasks. Collaborate with team members to ensure goals are met and contribute to creating a positive work environment.
• Complete all assigned training, including annual Bank Secrecy/OFAC training and compliance with BSA/AML regulations.
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Property Casualty license in Indiana (or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire). 1-2 years of experience preferred in an insurance agency or customer service role.
• Experience with cash handling and clerical office tasks preferred. In-depth knowledge of personal lines insurance products and related banking products and services.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication that makes every interaction impactful.
• A professional demeanor, and a can-do attitude that shines through.
• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions in various situations.
• Skill in maintaining positive relationships with management, peers, and vendors.
Compensation:
$15.23 - $22.84 per hour
