We are currently seeking a Technical Services Manager who will oversee the technical support, service operations, and maintenance of video surveillance and security systems. The ideal candidate will have a customer first mentality, expert troubleshooting capabilities and proactive service strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead a team of field service technicians and support engineers, ensuring timely and effective installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of video surveillance and security systems.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and resolution strategies.
• Develop and implement service-level agreements (SLAs) and ensure adherence to customer expectations.
• Maintain a deep understanding of video management software (VMS), network video recorders (NVRs), IP cameras, access control systems, and other integrated security solutions.
Customer & Stakeholder Management:
• Work closely with customers to assess service needs, resolve technical concerns, and ensure overall system performance meets security requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, and engineering teams to provide technical expertise in pre-sales discussions, product demonstrations, and system design.
• Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams on product functionality, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
• Develop and refine technical service policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency and reduce system downtime.
• Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
• Manage service documentation, including troubleshooting guides, technical reports, and incident logs.
Qualifications:
• 5 years of experience in technical service or support roles within the video surveillance, security, or low-voltage systems industry.• Strong knowledge of IP-based security systems, networking, and video surveillance technologies
• Experience with security industry software, including VMS platforms, and access control systems.
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting video surveillance systems, and integrated security solutions.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices related to video surveillance and physical security.
• Ability to interpret and troubleshoot technical drawings, schematics, and system configurations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring technical personnel.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
Our office is located on the northeast side of Indianapolis near Castleton.
