Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth operations at the front of the restaurant. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to handle guest relations with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Assist guests with inquiries regarding menu items, specials, and restaurant services.
- Maintain an organized waiting area and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone calls with proper phone etiquette, addressing guest inquiries and making reservations as needed.
- Support the team in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front area of the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a hospitality or customer service role is preferred.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest relations.
- Familiarity with POS systems, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, as necessary. Weekends are a must.
