Preschool Teacher Assistant
Responsible for a classroom of 2-5 year old children. Must work well with family members and other staff to achieve positive outcomes for children of all abilities.
Schedule:
- 12 months, full-time employment, Monday-Friday, typically school day hours plus once weekly extended care
OR
- 12 months, part-time employment, Monday - Friday, from noon - 5:30
Salary:
$10-$12 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Providing quality, age-appropriate work that engages students aged 2 - 5 in learning
- Recognizing and responding appropriately to individual differences in students
- Differentiating instruction for a variety of developmental stages and ability levels
- Implementing adopted curriculum subject matter standards and assessment instruments
- Planning lessons in a logical sequence
- Demonstrating knowledge of the subjects to be taught and the relationship to other subjects
- Collaborating with other educators to create the most complete educational environment possible for students
- Continuously using a variety of assessment techniques and/or models to evaluate student performance
- Providing a physical environment that is safe, orderly, hazard-free, and conducive to learning
- Consistently implementing approved disciplinary measures to allow for effective instruction and classroom management
- Relating to parents and other community members, individual and corporate, in a positive and helpful fashion
- Writing, speaking, and presenting in a clear, concise, and well-planned manner
- Performs any related duties as assigned by the Center Director or Head of School.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Meets required standards as specified by the State Department of Health/Child Care Licensure Standards for staff including fingerprinting and background check
- Obtain or have certification in CPR and First Aid
- Experience working with children
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
