Summer Camp Counselor
The ideal candidate should be at least 18 years of age, although applicants 16-17 years old will be considered with a strong recommendation from a teacher or other authority figure. Camp counselors should be outgoing, energetic, creative, organized and have some experience working with children.
All candidates are required to pass a background check.
A summer camp counselor is responsible for the safety and well-being of campers at a summer camp, overseeing daily activities, leading recreational programs, ensuring compliance with camp rules, and providing a positive and supportive environment for children while actively supervising them during various outdoor and indoor activities. Counselors must also maintain proper communication with parents and camp staff regarding camper progress and any concerns.

8:00am - 3:30pm opportunity to work extended care
$10 - $12 per hour
- Constantly monitor campers to ensure their safety during all activities, responding quickly to emergencies and following established safety protocols.
- Assist in the development and implementation of engaging age-appropriate activities like games, sports, arts and crafts, hikes, and special events.
- Lead and supervise assigned groups of campers, fostering positive group dynamics and encouraging participation from all individuals.

- Assist with upkeep of camp facilities and equipment.
- Exercise mature judgment and sound decision making.
- Be prepared to administer basic first aid and follow emergency procedures if necessary.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
