Job Details
- Administer medications to students onsite.
- Assist students with immediate health needs and concerns.
- Work with MPS nurse and teachers to implement student health plans and learn student needs.
- Pursue students with medications/health needs, including but not limited to diabetes.
- Prepare medication and first aid bags for teachers on field trips.
- Coordination of services for students such as hearing, vision, elevator, etc.
- Hourly rate ranges from $23-$25 depending on qualifications and years of relevant experience.
Job Qualifications
- BA/BS preferred.
- Healthcare background preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidential information.
- Project management skills.
- Ability to remain calm under stress.
- Strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently and as a team member. Including charting health office visits, medication distribution, diabetes management and incident reports as needed.
- Must be able to prioritize urgent needs to effectively take care of all issues that arise during the school day. Position will require being on site every school day.
- Supportive of the school's mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
- Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
