Job Details
- Multilingual / English Language Learner (MLL) Teacher – 0.7 FTE benefits eligible
- Position focuses on students in grades 7-11, teaming with three additional staff on our Multilingual team
- Salary range is $28,700-$48,300 based on education and years of classroom teaching experience.

General Faculty Qualifications
- Supportive of the school's mission to foster hope in God within the inner-city neighborhood of Minneapolis by providing youth with an outstanding, Christ-centered education.
- Ability to effectively educate in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and economically disadvantaged urban community.
- Desire to equip the children of the city with an academically rigorous, comprehensive, classical Christian education to prepare them to deal with the complex issues of living in this present society.
- Willingness to go above and beyond in building relationships with students.
Required Qualifications
Teaching Certification and Experience:
- Minimum BS or BA in ESL Education with ESL license.
- Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) in grades 6-12.
- Familiarity with working in an urban school setting and supporting diverse student populations.
- Experience using sheltered instruction, content-based ESL, or other effective strategies.
- Strong understanding of second language acquisition and best practices for English Learners (ELs).
- Ability to differentiate instruction for students at various proficiency levels.
- Experience working with multilingual and multicultural communities.
- Proficiency in using data to guide instruction and assess student progress.
- Knowledge of WIDA standards and assessment tools (e.g., ACCESS for ELLs).
- Strong ability to collaborate with general education teachers to support ELs in content areas.
- Experience in co-teaching or push-in/pull-out ESL models.
- Effective communication with students, families, and colleagues, including those from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
- Passion for supporting English Learners and closing opportunity gaps.
