Job Summary : The Admissions Counselor will support all phases of the admissions process under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Management. Responsible for assisting applicants and families throughout the enrollment lifecycle. Managing the recruitment process, communicating with prospective students and families and providing information about the resources and academic programs.
Essential Functions
- Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ.
- Cooperate with the Board and HCS Administration in implementing all policies, procedures and directives governing the operation of the school.
- Assist with inquiries from new student admissions, guiding them from the inquiry phase through to enrollment.
- Maintain and update the student information systems, provide technical support and guide parents and guardians through the parent portal.
- Support and lead admissions-related events, which may occur on evenings and weekends. Key events include new student testing and New Parent Orientation.
- Review new student applications with the Director of Enrollment Management to ensure alignment with the school’s goals and Statement of Faith.
- Answer calls on the admissions line and represent each campus effectively.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with schools, parents, churches, and other stakeholders.
- Help families understand and navigate tuition discounts and financial aid opportunities.
- Manage the new student testing process for applicants.
- Assist the Director of Enrollment Management with the student withdrawal process.
- Oversee the scheduling of admission events to include tours, new student testing, interviews, and other relevant activities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and distribute promotional materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Management.
