Overall Responsibility:
The Executive Director is the leader of The Hope Clinic responsible for achieving the clinic’s mission, vision, values and goals. The Executive Director is responsible for effective clinic operation, financial sustainability, and insuring that requirements for quality, safety and service are met or exceeded. The responsibility for creating a professional and caring practice environment is shared by all staff, and the ultimate accountability for a positive culture is upon the Executive Director.
Responsibilities
o Continue executing the Mission and Vision of the Hope Clinic.
o Hire, train and lead the management team to ensure delivery of quality services and programs
o Creates a professional and caring practice environment that focuses on the patient. Ensures that the environment is safe for the personnel, patients, visitors and volunteers within the clinic
o Design, implement and participate in recruitment, interviewing, selection and performance evaluation processes for directly supervised staff and other key positions. Oversee and participates in the recruitment and training of volunteers.
o Serve as the organization’s principle leader, representative and spokesperson to the greater community by engaging in community discussions regarding how the Hope Clinic’s services fit and compliment the needs of the community and local health care systems. Maintain a high level of public acceptance and interaction with the medical community and community at-large.
o Responsible for the funding of the Hope Clinic. Oversee and participate in the writing of grants and secures funds from other sources per the annual funding plan to assure the clinic has a sound financial base. Must be cognizant of and maintain regular contact with high priority funding resources.
o Implements quality improvement activities to continuously improve quality, process, and service and to limit liability.
o Ensures adherence to clinic personnel policies, fiscal policies and other policies and procedures adopted by the Board of Directors. Responsible for adhering to HIPAA, OSHA and State and Federal regulations.
o Provides all necessary financial reporting. Create and sustain reporting and statistical information on all aspects of the clinic as required by the Board of Directors to ensure progress toward strategic goals are made.
o Plan and be responsible for compliance with all legal requirements of the clinic functions and programs and physical facility.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in administration, management or related field and/or a combination of education and business/work experience in health care management appropriate for the position. Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning, personal development, professional growth, and spiritual strength for self and staff.
Experience:
At least 3 years experience as a director or manager of a health care center or similar setting preferred. Experience with winning grants and funding preferred. Knowledge and experience with financial systems, policy and procedural development, and background in administration and management.
- Knowledge of local health care, social service resources as well as familiarity with and integration into health care safety net and faith-based health and wellness missions.
