Bilingual Mental Heath Counselor – Lancaster County Area
Location: Lancaster County, SC
Work Type: Full- Time 1099
Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour (based on licensure level and experience)

Job Description:
The Mental Health Counselor position focuses on providing individual and family mental health counseling using evidence-based and trauma-informed care approaches. This role includes working with children, adolescents, and adults, both in-person and virtually, to address their behavioral health needs and support their personal growth.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family skill-building/Counseling services using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches of care.
- Deliver consistent, ongoing services to clients, including crisis intervention as needed to enhance and restore functioning.
- Ensure timely submission of all required documentation within 24 hours of service.
- Participate in care coordination with a multi-disciplinary treatment team.
- Meet or exceed agency productivity and documentation standards.
- Maintain compliance with Medicaid/CMO requirements.
- Travel within the Lancaster County area as needed for in-person sessions.
- Engage in additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications:
- Must be bilingual (fluent in Spanish and English)
- Master’s degree in psychology, social work, Counseling or a human services-related discipline.
- At least two years of experience in behavioral health, preferably working with children and adolescents.
- Fully licensed LISW-CP, LPC, LMSW, LMFT (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of DSM-5 diagnosis criteria and Medicaid/CMO compliance requirements.
- CPR/First Aid certification (must be obtained within the first 30 days of hire).
- Must pass a SLED background check prior to providing services to clients.

- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed to meet client needs.
- Willingness to travel and meet with clients in home/community.
- Ability to provide both virtual and in-person services.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Receptive to feedback and constructive criticism to improve skills.
Schedule:
- Flexible scheduling with the opportunity to choose hours.
- Full-time employees are expected to provide 25-40 hours per week.
Compensation:
- Salary is based on experience, licensure level, and qualifications.
