Job Summary
The Consumer Loan Officer is a key professional responsible for managing consumer loan services. This role involves assisting with and assessing loan applications, evaluating members' creditworthiness, and explaining loan options and terms while ensuring all documentation complies with regulatory standards. Additionally, the Consumer Loan Officer identifies and pursues new loan opportunities throughout HOPE's footprint. By providing expert advice on loan products and proactively engaging with the community, they play a crucial role in expanding the member base and enhancing HOPE's overall success.
Responsibilities
- Conducting needs-based conversations with members
- Assisting members with completing loan applications
- Assessing loan applications and creditworthiness
- Explaining loan options and terms to members
- Processing loan documentation
- Ensuring compliance with lending regulations
- Managing member relationships
- Advising members on suitable loan products
- Identifying and pursuing opportunities to expand and deepen individual member relationships
- Cross-selling different HOPE products to members and collaborating with other departments to ensure a seamless onboarding experience
