What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Specialist, Grants and Compliance position at Hope For New Haven?
As the Program Specialist (Grants & Compliance) you will be a member of the Grants & Compliance Team and provide essential administrative support to them. You will report to the Grants & Compliance Manager. Core job responsibilities include database management, office and grant administrative support, and support to grantees as directed by the Grants & Compliance Manager. As part of the Grants & Compliance Team, your work will reflect our trust-based philosophy, which focuses on simplifying and streamlining the grant-making process for applicants, doing due diligence before engaging with potential grantees, and practicing open and honest communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Work closely with the Grants & Compliance Manager throughout the grant management cycle to ensure activities accomplish the intended programmatic goals and objectives, including:
- Accurately inputting, tracking, and reporting on information in CERCLE’s grant management and data systems.
- Process all aspects of grant request cycle from public inquiries, applications, review committee packets, decision letters and acceptances, agreements, payments, monitoring and reporting.
- Maintain the official award file – ensuring that current, accurate, and complete data is entered into electronic data systems, as applicable.
- Serve as liaison between CERCLE and grantees, including responding to questions and scheduling interim report meetings for Grants & Compliance Manager with grantees.
- Review information, reconcile conflicting data and analyze findings to develop recommendations and proposals.
- Participate in the due diligence activities throughout the grant lifecycle.
- Provide administrative support and coordination of specific tasks as assigned by the Grants & Compliance Manager for ongoing or time-limited projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

Pay: $23,500.00 - $26,000.00 per year
