Job Description:
The Hope For Youth OASAS Primary Prevention Program aims to provide education, support, and tools to children, adults, families, and community stakeholders to refrain from substance and alcohol use.
The program utilizes evidence-based models and psycho-educational presentations to reach community members.
Responsibilities:
- Presenting various evidenced-based curriculum in school classrooms located in the Town of Babylon
- Attending and leading community awareness events in the Town of Babylon
The goal is to provide elementary school age children with the skills needed to refrain from engaging in alcohol and substance use and to raise awareness in the community.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma, CASAC, CPP or CPS preferred
- One year of experience working with children and adolescents or community action work preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to practice within the scope of OASAS Prevention regulations
This is a part-time position requiring 17.5 hours per week, with flexible days including weekends as needed.
