Position: Part-Time Staff
Location: Hope Haven Transitional Living Center
Hours: 7am-3pm weekend, 7pm-11pm weeknights, shifts available
Pay: $15.50/hour (increases to $16.25/hour after completing training and obtaining Medication Assistant I certification)
Pay Differential: Weekends and Overnights!

Role Overview:
We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team in part-time positions. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social work, sociology, or human services, and is ideal for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals in need of mental health support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading Group and Individual Sessions: Facilitate group activities and conduct one-on-one sessions designed to help clients build essential life skills, set personal goals, and address their mental health needs.
- Daily Living Skills Coaching: Provide guidance and support in daily living activities such as budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and developing effective communication and coping skills. Tailor your coaching to meet each client's specific needs and goals.
- Emotional Support: Offer emotional and verbal support to clients, helping them navigate their challenges and providing a safe space for them to express their feelings and concerns.
- Resource Assistance: Assist clients in identifying and accessing community resources, including medical, educational, and social services, to improve their overall quality of life and support their path to independence.
- Crisis Management: Handle and de-escalate crisis situations effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Intervene appropriately in emergencies and support clients through challenging moments.
- Safety and Monitoring: Conduct regular safety checks, monitor client behavior, perform non-invasive contraband searches, and assess for safety concerns or over-intoxication. Ensure compliance with facility rules and maintain a secure environment.
- Person-Centered Approach: Implement a person-centered approach in all interactions, focusing on the individual needs and preferences of each client to support their personal development and autonomy.

Requirements:
- Availability: Must be available to work every other weekend and some holidays.
- Education: High school diploma or GED is required.
- Licenses: A valid driver’s license is necessary.
