Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Exercise Science/Physiology/Kinesiology. Prefer one or more years’ experience working with a frail or elderly population.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must possess a valid Florida drivers license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. CPR certification is required.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to communicate, concentrate and document effectively and accurately.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operations, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedure manuals, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Position Requirements (not all inclusive)
Review participant’s medical history for any potential risks that exercise may pose or precautions that need to be taken.
Determine participant’s strengths and limitations and feel comfortable with progression of wellness program.
Develop and schedule individualized or group exercise programs based on participant’s physical conditions, health goals, and overall well-being to increase physical fitness, strength, endurance, balance, and flexibility.
Teach participants how to perform exercises safely and effectively to enhance their physical movement abilities or improve their overall health.
Measure and monitor participants’ vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels during periods of rest and during exercise.
Educate participants about their exercise program and provide information about how to stay healthy.
Collaborate with clinical team/PT/OT in a timely fashion to ensure participant receives proper care and notify if change in participants status, issues, or concerns arise.
Complete documentation in PACE EMR in a timely manner according to policy/procedure.
Use of electronic DME order system for participant equipment management.
Maintain supplies and equipment (department/participant) in clean/orderly and good working condition, including routine cleaning/maintenance and inventory.
Maintain confidentiality of participant information (HIPAA).
