What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse position at Hope in the Mountains?
Job Responsibilities:
- Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Nurse organizes and coordinates medical services with the Hope in the Mountains staff and other professionals.
- Participates in the treatment process to ensure the appropriateness and quality of care.
- Participates in and conducts educational programs.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Kentucky
- May consider and LPN depending on experience
Essential Functions:
- Coordinates client medication administration
- Schedules client medical appointments and maintains client medical records.
- Assures that medical records systems meet the needs of clients.
- Assures adequate documentation of care.
- Promotes his or her professional development through self-directed and continuing education.
- Fosters a sense of self-worth and professionalism among employees.
- Assures the rights of clients to self-determination, privacy, and confidentiality
- Works with clinical and administrative staff to help maintain and continuously improve the quality of care.
Supervisory Relationships and Responsibilities:
- The Nurse answers directly to the Hope in the Mountains Executive Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
