Job Summary
Hope Media Group is seeking an innovative and visionary Director of Software Engineering to lead our engineering team and shape the future of our digital platforms. This is a senior leadership role responsible for modernizing our technology architecture, transforming legacy systems, and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate will emphasize delivering user-centric solutions, align engineering practices with organizational goals, and foster a strong partnership with product and design teams. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of scalable and impactful products using modern Agile delivery practices (Scrum / Kanban).
Essential Functions
Leadership :
- Leadership and Collaboration : Lead and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to both engineers and engineering leaders, fostering their growth in technical, professional, and leadership skills.
Development and Implementation :
Define and implement a modern technology strategy, emphasizing scalable, maintainable, and secure systems while transforming legacy applications.Partner with product leaders to align technical efforts with organizational goals, ensuring that engineering solutions meet user and business needs.Champion Agile practices (Scrum / Kanban), optimizing for flow, iterative delivery, and continuous improvement across teams.Establish and enforce best practices in software development, architecture, and deployment, including CI / CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Collaborate with product, design, and business teams to ensure alignment between technology solutions and organizational priorities.Lead the modernization of existing applications and systems to align with modern principles such as The Twelve-Factor App, Hexagonal Architecture, and Clean Architecture.Monitor emerging trends, technologies, and frameworks to ensure Hope Media Group remains innovative and competitive.Demonstrated Faith :

Education :
10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.Experience :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
