Part-Time Admissions Coordinator / Receptionist
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–12:30pm
Location: Colorado Springs, CO
Hope Mountain Behavioral Health is a growing, mission-driven group practice committed to providing accessible mental health services to underserved communities. We're currently seeking a Part-Time Admissions Coordinator/Receptionist to join our Colorado Springs team.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behavioral health services, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for mental health care. As the first point of contact for prospective clients, this person must be both highly organized and warm, with a deep commitment to our mission of expanding access to compassionate, competent mental health care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients in-person and over the phone with professionalism, empathy, and clarity.
- Collect and verify clinical, demographic, insurance, and personal information to initiate intake.
- Conduct mental health and substance use screenings prior to clinical evaluations.
- Triage referrals and assign clients to appropriate therapists.
- Maintain client confidentiality in all communications and data handling.
- Accurately enter data using TherapyNotes, IntakeQ, and Google Workspace.
- Verify Medicaid and commercial insurance eligibility and benefits.
- Communicate effectively with vulnerable populations, including individuals experiencing homelessness.
- Collaborate with therapists and admin team while also functioning independently.
- Demonstrate understanding of trauma-informed care and culturally sensitive practices.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required at minimum, open to considering relevant work experience in lieu of degree but it must be explained in a cover letter why you think your experience is equivalent.
- Minimum one year of experience in a behavioral health, social services, or medical administrative setting.
- Strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses, terminology, and systems of care.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
- Experience with Electronic Health Records.
- Highly detail-oriented, with excellent organization and time management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently, follow through on tasks, and take initiative.
