Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Speech Therapist to join our team at Hope Network Neuro Rehabilitation. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide diagnostic and treatment services for individuals with communication disorders.
About the Role:
This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a deep understanding of speech-language pathology and the ability to work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in team meetings to ensure effective communication and dysphagia support.
You will also train staff and educate families on speech and language development, providing them with the tools and resources they need to support their loved ones.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the nature, severity, and prognosis for rehabilitation of individuals with communication disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific communication goals.
- Participate in team meetings to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between disciplines.
- Train and supervise staff on speech and language activities to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of treatment progress and provide timely documentation of daily notes, progress reports, and discharge summaries.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, active licensure in Michigan, and ASHA Certification of Clinical Competency in Speech-Language Pathology or completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
You must also have a demonstrated ability to work with consumers having special physical, emotional, social, behavioral, and vocational needs due to neurological disability/TBI.
Additionally, you should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
