The Pediatric Speech Therapist provides specialized diagnostic and treatment services for individuals with communication disorders, utilizing standardized and informal assessment procedures. This role involves creating personalized treatment plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and providing education to staff and families.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech language pathology diagnostic and treatment services using selected standardized and informal assessment procedures to determine the nature, severity, and prognosis for rehabilitation of individuals with communication disorders.
- Ensure individual assessment and participation with goal identification, treatment planning and implementation of treatment plan. Treatment includes individual and group settings.
- Completes timely documentation of daily treatment notes, progress reports at funding required intervals, initial evaluation, discharge summaries, home programs, and consultation notes as indicated.
- Monitor individuals' progress and maintain accurate records of treatment through data collection and treatment reports as assigned.
