Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide health and safety services in a school setting. The ideal candidate will work Monday to Friday from 8:15am-3:30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide overall health and safety services to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations.
- Assist Registered Nurses in carrying out care plans, including performing specialized procedures as directed by physicians.
- Recognize and respond to social and economic problems affecting clients, teaching self-care techniques to clients and their families.
- Foster a cooperative team environment, participating in in-service programs and advocating for client needs.
- Prepare clinical and progress notes, reporting client symptoms, reactions, and changes to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with rehabilitation and habilitation of clients, coordinating services with family, physicians, and other disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Active, unrestricted LPN license in Rhode Island.
- Experience in Home and Community Based Services is preferred, particularly in pediatric settings.
- Solid clinical skills and experience are essential, coupled with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- A professional demeanor and appearance are required, along with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Reliable transportation is necessary for this role.
