What are the responsibilities and job description for the Science Teacher position at Hope School District?
Seeking applicant for Secondary (9-12) Science to plan and deliver engaging lessons, conduct
experiments, and assess student learning in an integrated science class aligned to the Arkansas
State Standards. Candidate must create a supportive learning environment and foster students'
understanding and appreciation of the natural world. Additionally, they must safely supervise
labs, mentor students, and participate in professional learning community to collaborate on
student data analysis, instructional strategies and individual student needs to maximize on
student achievement.
Qualifications:
1. Valid Arkansas Teaching Certificate, Secondary (9-12) Science
2. Must hold a current Arkansas Educator’s License with 9-12 Science area or be eligible to
receive an Arkansas Educators (9-12) Science endorsement.
3. If not licensed, must possess a Bachelor’s degree (minimum) and be willing to pursue
Arkansas educator Licensure.
4. Must pass a background check of the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.
5. Must demonstrate written and verbal communication skills.
