Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to individuals
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
- Follow established care plans and assist with medication reminders
- Implement behavior management systems for individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Collaborate with social workers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Provide direct support to individuals with heavy lifting or mobility needs
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or memory impairments
Experience:
- Previous experience in personal care or related field is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with working with people with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices is beneficial
- Ability to perform direct support tasks including heavy lifting if necessary
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Experience in dementia care or working with individuals with memory impairments is desirable
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 per week
