Loader Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team at a mulch production site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of heavy machinery, including loaders, backhoes, and skidsteers to facilitate the efficient movement of materials and ensure the successful completion of projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, and bulldozers to move materials on construction sites.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and other vehicles, ensuring proper handling and placement.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate tasks effectively.
• Dig trenches or holes as required for various construction projects using appropriate machinery.
• Safely operate dump trucks for material transport when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency on the job site.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment.

Experience

• Proven experience in loader operation or similar roles within a construction environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with operating additional heavy machinery
• Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual accountability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
