Job Summary:
The Racquet Court Maintenance is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, upkeep, and proper maintenance of all racquet courts, including tennis, pickleball, and other playing surfaces. This role helps maintain a high standard of playability and appearance, ensuring an exceptional experience for members and guests.
Key Responsibilities: Court Maintenance & Upkeep:
- Daily sweeping and brushing of clay and hard courts to maintain smooth, level playing surfaces.
- Watering clay courts as needed to maintain ideal moisture levels and prevent cracking.
- Rolling clay courts to ensure a firm and consistent surface.
- Checking and adjusting court lines for visibility and proper alignment.
Facility & Equipment Maintenance:
- Emptying trash bins around the courts and clubhouse area.
- Refilling water containers and coolers at designated stations.
- Maintaining seating areas, benches, and shade structures to ensure cleanliness and functionality.
- Inspecting court nets, posts, and windscreens for wear and making necessary adjustments or reporting issues.
General Maintenance & Member Assistance:
- Performing minor repairs on court surfaces, screens, or fencing when needed.
- Assisting with event setups and breakdowns for racquet sports tournaments, socials, and clinics.
- Ensuring the overall appearance and professionalism of the racquet sports facilities.
- Communicating any maintenance concerns or larger repairs to management in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in court maintenance (preferred but not required; training will be provided).
- Basic knowledge of clay and hard court upkeep.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Ability to perform light physical labor, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with members and guests.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Weekend and early morning shifts may be required.
- Competitive hourly wage based on experience.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
