Clinical Site Lead - Illinois Crisis Prevention Network - Springfield, IL

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually


WHO WE ARE

Illinois Crisis Prevention Network (ICPN) is a collaborative partnership between Trinity Services and Hope. ICPN is grant funded by the DHS-DDD. ICPN provides assistance on a statewide basis for individuals with an intellectual/developmental disability who are experiencing complex behavioral or medical challenges. ICPN provides community-based services and supports for people served, families, provider agencies, schools, places of employment, and community day service programs.

SUMMARY

This position provides ongoing clinical and administrative supervision for ICPN team members under the direction of the ICPN Director.  

Provides crisis services for individuals at risk of being displaced from their current placement and ensures family and/or support staff is appropriately trained and has the tools needed to effectively implement the behavioral support plan for the individual.  Collects and analyzes data garnered from observations and from both formal and informal assessments.  

Serves as an interdisciplinary team member of the ICPN team responsible for behavioral/clinical assessments, behavior program design and development, data tracking and analysis, and ongoing monitoring of efficacy of the program plan.   

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Provides supervision to ICPN team members, ensuring comprehensive and effective services are rendered to the person in crisis, his/her family, and other agency providers.  As warranted, ensures behavior plans and other interventions are meeting the individuals’ needs taking necessary action to address problems/concerns.  Consults with the ICPN Director and/or seeks assistance for problematic, chronic, and intractable situations and conditions.
  • Design of Personal Support Plans (PSP): The Personal Support Plan may or may not include a formalized Behavior Support Plan.  Design these plans based upon functional and data analysis.   PSPs may be formal or informal, which may take the form of general behavior support strategies or a detailed set of procedures outlining a positive intervention.  
  • Training: Ability to provide onsite trainings to the staff being supported. 
  • Implementation of interventions and/or data collection:   Training includes specific and detailed information and demonstration on how to conduct planned interventions and how to collect data, with appropriate return demonstration by staff.  
  • Psychoeducation:  Providing diagnosis specific training to the people providing support. 
  • Work closely with community agencies, schools, and families to ensure training and implementation of necessary support strategies in the attempt to generalize these strategies from one setting to another.
  • Attend and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
  • May assist in organizing and completing follow up surveys and providing summary reports on the clinical outcomes established for ICPN.
  • Participate actively in problem-solving; provide solution-oriented and proactive recommendations; maintain effective and respectful interactions; communicate clearly and effectively; practice in accord with licensure ethical standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable DHS regulations and licensure requirements.  
  • Assume responsibility as a mandated reporter concerning incidents of purported abuse/neglect of individuals as outlined in the agency’s policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are reasonable within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Clinical Psychology, Counseling, Social Work (or other related clinically based discipline) from an accredited graduate program. 
    • For Behavior Analysis: Two plus years experience in functional analysis, behavior program development/monitoring, competency-based staff training procedures, and crisis intervention strategies. 
    • For Clinical Staff: Two plus years experience in adapting clinical models and therapies (ex. ACT, DBT, The Skills System) when working with people who are dually diagnosed.  
  • At least 2 years providing supervision or leadership in a therapeutic setting.
  • Experience and/or specialized knowledge in any of the following: Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities; Autism Spectrum Disorders; Mental Health Disorders.  Knowledge and experience of working with dually diagnosed individuals is advantageous. 
  • The ability to communicate clearly and effectively (both written and orally) in a professional manner, with all levels of employees (professionals, teachers, paraprofessionals, direct-care, etc.).  Also, the ability to interact effectively on a multidisciplinary team.
  • The ability to build a strong rapport with community members, providers, coordinators, stakeholders, and other entities.
