Serving children, ages 2 – 8, The Autism Clinic offers applied behavior analytic services (ABA), parent and family guidance, and in some settings, speech therapy. LOOKING FOR
Are you a Direct Support Professional or student studying psychology, elementary or special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, or other related fields looking to gain experience with children on the Autism Spectrum? The DSP position may be a good fit for you. We offer in-clinic and hands on training to expand your skill sets!
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Work directly 1:1 with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the Hope Autism Clinic to teach children with ASD using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Effectively communicate with families/guardians about their child’s progress.
- Work with the treatment team to track session data and help clients achieve individualized communication and early learning goals.
- Assist with planning and preparing for clinic-based group activities.
- Model professional appearance and attitudes.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- Successful background clearance.
WHAT WE PREFER
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a psychology, education, or human services related field.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Enthusiasm for working with children.
- Is willing to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
