What are the responsibilities and job description for the Handyman position at Hopebridge?
The Facility Handyman will be responsible for supporting the facilities team in the specific regional market. This position will handle minor maintenance tasks for clinics that include : wall patching and painting, toilet unclogging, carpet tiles replacement, changing light bulbs, hanging of wall boards, putting together furniture, picking up rubbish, and similar other similar duties as assigned.
This worker will rotate through the regional market daily and work on facility tasks at various sites throughout the portfolio.
This is a non-exempt position hiring between $23-$25 / hour (based on experience).
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Patch and paint walls
- Repair and replace carpet
- Light plumbing duties to assist in unclogging toilets and cleanup
- Assisting in emergency facility situations (ie : bringing fans to assist in down HVAC units)
- Changing light bulbs and ballasts
- Hanging wallboards
- Putting together furniture and equipment
- Rubbish pickup near dumpsters
- Report and escalate to management as needed
Competencies
- Basic fundamental knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and construction, including but not limited to :
- Wall repair
- Painting
- Unclogging toilets
- Carpet and flooring installation and maintenance

- Former janitor of school system
- Former building engineer
