As a Resident Assistant at Hopedale Medical Complex, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of residents, each with their own unique needs and requirements.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional care and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Serve meals and snacks in the dining area
- Clean the dining room after each meal
- Change linens weekly and distribute towels daily
- Remind residents to take their medications at the correct time
- Assist residents with accessing ancillary services such as lab tests, x-rays, and physical therapy
- Report any problems or concerns to the administrator
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Certification as a CNA, PCA, or HHA is desirable but not required
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff
- Physical ability to stand, lift, bend, and push
- Patient and calm demeanor, especially in difficult situations
