Board Certified Behavior Analyst
We are seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team at Hopful Journeys , a private 766 Massachusetts Approved Special Education school.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis and at least 3 years of experience working with ABA and discrete trials. The BCBA will be responsible for developing behavior intervention plans for students diagnosed with autism and other disabilities, providing staff development on the implementation of protocols, data collection and progress monitoring techniques, and directly supervising a small team of staff.
Key Responsibilities :
- Supervise team members around behavior plans, curriculum modifications, accommodations and social skills, and provide resources, tools, and in-class modeling of techniques.
- Oversee and provide feedback to staff regarding programming and IEP implementation, and attend IEP meetings and parents meetings.
- Develop and oversee behavior plans for in-classroom implementation and assess progress of effectiveness of behavior plans and curriculum modifications.
- Conduct behavior assessments and devise appropriate behavior plans.
- Coordinate communications between home and school and collaborate with other providers, including outside BCBAs.
- Ensure timely completion of progress reports & graphed data.
- Ensure behavioral strategies are implemented consistently and accurately across clinical systems in all settings.
- Develop data-taking mechanisms and reporting strategies for clinical information.
- Facilitate team meetings weekly.
- Participate in ensuring staff appropriately present student progress during team meetings.
- Act as an active training member for ABA staff and management staff, including on-site staff training, orientation training, clinical and staff meetings.
- Ensure that all staff demonstrates proficiency in using applied behavior analysis by carrying out behavior change projects meeting designated standards of reliability and scientific rigor, satisfactorily answering questions in regard to the principles of behavior, and by demonstrating proficiency on evaluation developed for each of the essential skills of the position.
- Ensure effective communication and interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents.
- Ensure all students are safe by implementing and monitoring de-escalation strategies.
- Directly supervise, train, evaluate and provide feedback (both positive and constructive) to ABA teachers and case managers.
- Maintain responsibility of the team by ensuring all staff are on task and implementing programming / behavior plans properly, ensure students are safe and making progress and ensure all parent needs and concerns are addressed appropriately.

Salary : $80,000 - $85,000
