Title: Case Manager
Location: Primarily Shoreline and Kirkland with some travel to meet with clients in various locations on the Eastside. After training, this position has the ability to follow a hybrid schedule, typically with three days onsite or in the community and two days remote, with some flexibility in determining schedule.
Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.

The career opportunity: Hopelink provides vital resources to people experiencing financial and housing instability in our community. The Case Manager provides assessment, advocacy, referrals, and other support services to low-income families in shelter, transitional, non-time limited housing programs as well as community-based settings. The primary goal is to help families, through their own resilience, to make positive life changes and substantial progress towards self-sufficiency, with a focus on increasing income and obtaining and maintaining permanent housing.
The ideal candidate will be flexible, compassionate, excited to learn, and is a team player who works well in a collaborative team environment alongside community partners. Case Managers meet with families in the community and at multiple Hopelink sites, and must be able and willing to drive to various locations.
Bilingual candidates (especially in Tigrinya, Spanish, or Russian) and candidates with lived experience highly desired.

- Experience working with diverse communities, older adults, people with disabilities, immigrants, refugees, youth, and/or veterans. Experience working with low-income families and individuals helpful.
- Two years housing case management experience preferred. Experience in social services or a community-based organization preferred.
- Introductory knowledge of human services client assessment methods, principles, and techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of subsidized housing resources and housing system to address family homelessness.
- Knowledge of financial coaching strategies and tools is preferred.
- Driver’s license and ability to drive personal vehicle as needed to meet families. Hopelink provides mileage reimbursement.
Examples of what you will be doing:
- Manage a moderate-sized case load of approximately 15-18 families.
- Interview and determine the needs of families and individuals in various life domains.
- Develop case management case plans in collaboration with families and individuals.
- Assist families and individuals with identification and achievement of goals including addressing barriers to success.
- Respond effectively to client issues of an emergent nature. Serve as client advocate when appropriate.
- Make appropriate referrals and coordinate services with community agencies based on clients' needs and interests.
- Ensure service interactions at all levels are done through a trauma informed perspective; practice from trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective.
- Provide case management support to families and individuals through regular meetings. Case management support includes but is not limited to assisting families and individuals to monitor progress toward goal achievement, helping clients build and identify strengths and successes, supporting clients to develop and utilize positive problem-solving skills and helping clients identify, develop, and maintain support networks.
- Make mandated reports as required by law; maintain paper and electronic case records; complete monthly statistics and other reports as required.

- Compensation: $25.00 / hour
- Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
- Plus, up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
