Title: Client Resource Specialist - Kirkland
Location: Kirkland, WA
Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm, Fully in-person onsite.

The career opportunity:
The Client Resource Specialist is one of the first points of contact at the Hopelink Kirkland Service Center’s Front Desk and is responsible for warmly greeting and welcoming all visitors. The Client Resource Specialist provides excellent customer service to clients, donors, visitors, and staff. The environment can sometimes be fast paced and busy and at other times it can be slower. This position is critical to ensure smooth operation of the center.

- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and be flexible.
- Desire to work with low-income families.
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and de-escalate issues.
- Some experience working with a busy, multi-line phone is great but not required!
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, and OneNote are used frequently.)
- Comfortable working with individuals who demonstrate extreme or unpredictable behavior related to various kinds or crisis or trauma including substance abuse, mental health disorders, and/or homelessness.
- Ability to effectively provide services to a diverse population.
- Bilingual in Spanish, Russian, or Portuguese preferred.
- Multi-lingual candidates or members of BIPOC communities - black, indigenous, people of color - or people who have personal experience in historically marginalized and excluded communities are especially encouraged to apply.
- Occasional travel between Hopelink sites is necessary: must have a plan for reliable transportation to travel to another Hopelink site during the workday, OR a personal vehicle (mileage reimbursed), and valid driver’s license and proof of personal auto liability insurance.
Examples of what you will be doing:
- Warmly greet all visitors at the front desk.
- Interact with participants, volunteers, and donors.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment for all guests by providing compassionate service.
- Listen for understanding and de-escalate challenging or difficult situations as they arise.
- Answer questions regarding services offered at the Kirkland Center and make referrals for services within the community.
- Learn about resources and referrals within the Puget Sound area.
- Screen clients for services by asking questions to determine eligibility then scheduling appointments so they can receive services.
- Screen for and administer Emergency Bus Tickets, Emergency Food Bags, and Clothing vouchers.
- Schedule clients for food market enrollment meetings and schedule their shopping appointments.
How you will be compensated: Hopelink is proud to provide meaningful paid time away from work and an affordable, comprehensive benefits package.
- Compensation: $23.40/hour
- Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
- Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours/week
