Work Schedule : Full time, Monday - Friday, 8 : 00am - 5 : 00pm

The career opportunity : Through training and service monitoring, the NEMT Service and Training Manager helps set the vision, direction, and culture of Hopelink's Transportation Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) team. Hopelink's NEMT team is responsible for screening Medicaid recipients for the most cost-efficient form of transportation that fits their medical needs. Hopelink assigns these trip requests to a fleet of contracted transportation providers. This role will maintain oversight of training internal team members and handling of feedback on our service. The NEMT Service and Training Manager is a critical role; they encourage independent problem solving and a sense of ownership from others for the success of the team. They inspire staff to achieve team goals and improve the lives of the transportation disadvantaged population. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, detail-oriented, and is adept at receiving and applying feedback from a variety of stakeholders.

  • Previous project management experience preferred. Must demonstrate the ability to lead a diverse workforce, work in a group as a leader, and ensure employee accountability across the department.
  • Ability to de-escalate and resolve conflicts, build positive relationships, and lead by example; outstanding communication skills with audiences of all levels.
  • Experienced in training, process improvement, and data analytics; proven prioritization, delegation, and negotiation skills.
  • Client experience oriented with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Knowledge of transportation services available for low-income populations preferred.
  • Understanding of Medicaid, Medicare, contractual requirements and Washington Administrative Codes (WAC) preferred.
  • This position is a Service Critical Employee with specific attendance requirements.

Examples of what you will be doing :

  • Manages, assigns, coordinates, and evaluates the work and performance of NEMT Trainers, Analysts, and Service Concerns Specialists; aids and trains as needed, ensuring all training aligns with regulatory authorities.
  • Maintains active knowledge of NEMT related Washington Administrative Codes and all contractual requirements within the NEMT department.
  • Acts as the point of contact for Healthcare Authority complaint and NEMT process inquiries.
  • Maintains all processes related to screening clients, fulfilling ride requests, and the onboarding and monitoring of transportation providers.
  • Manages the handling of service feedback and analyzes trends; works collaboratively with teams to implement long-term improvements.
  • Provides advice and recommendations on transportation operations to staff at all levels. Recommends strategies and / or projects to improve organizational effectiveness and communicates changes in regulations, policy and procedures.
  • Provides leadership to team through effective communications, coaching, training and development. Fosters working climate conducive to maximum employee morale.

  • Compensation : $33.00 - $34.00 / hour
  • Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
  • Plus, up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours / week
