Hopewell Animal Hospital is a privately owned, AAHA accredited, Low-Stress Handling, Cat Friendly Certified Practice striving to provide high quality medicine and surgery in a low stress atmosphere. We recently expanded with our Center for Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine and Rehabilitation Therapy along with onsite grooming. We are located in the beautiful Hudson Valley. Our goal is to treat every client and patient as the whole and unique individual that she or he is. We use traditional and complementary methods, as well as appropriate referrals to provide the ultimate integrated veterinary care.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, personable, enthusiastic, eager to learn and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team!
Qualifications:
- NYS Licensed or License eligible
- 2 years experience (Preferred)
- Reliable transportation
- Excels in communication skills & team building
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Compassionate with attention to detail
- Dependable
Major Duties:
- Anesthetic induction, monitoring and recovery
- Dentistry
- Proficient in medical math
- Radiology
- Knowledge and confidence with client communication and education
- Patient triage
- Low Stress Handling patient restraint
- Phlebotomy, running in house lab samples and preparing samples to send out
- Pharmacy
- Assist DVMs in office visits; thorough history taking
- Efficient with veterinary computer softwares
