Pastor of Worship and Youth

Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Worship/Youth Pastor to join our church Fellowship. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fostering spiritual growth and development among our congregation and youth, creating an engaging and supportive environment that encourages participation in church activities. This role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and leading in our worship services/commitment to mentoring young individuals in their faith journey.

Responsibilities

• He must be able to develop and implement engaging youth programs that promote spiritual education and community involvement.
• Develop and lead in morning/evening worship on all church gatherings. Direct choir/Praise team.
• Mentor and guide youth in their personal and spiritual development through one-on-one interactions and group settings.
• Communicate effectively with youth, parents, and church leadership to ensure alignment with church goals and values.
• Organize and lead regular youth meetings, retreats, and events that encourage fellowship and growth.
• Collaborate with other church staff to integrate youth activities into the broader church mission.
• Provide support during worship services, including leading worship or coordinating youth participation.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all youth participants, addressing any concerns or issues that arise.

Requirements

• A strong foundation in Christian beliefs and practices, adhere to the SBC 2000, and serve with a passion for working with young people.
• Proven experience in mentoring or teaching youth, preferably within a church setting.
• Skills in music, preferably able to play lead guitar and or piano/keyboard.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with diverse groups of individuals.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, showcasing the capacity to inspire and motivate youth.
• He must have proven leadership as a family leader (if married)
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• A degree in music/ministry is preferred but not a must, experience in leading congregations in worship, youth Ministry, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
• He must be able to preach and fill the pulpit from time to time.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
