What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Call Center Specialist (Part-Time) position at Hopewell Health Centers, Inc.?
Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking Crisis Call Center Specialists to join our Athens, OH Respite Behavioral Health team.
As a Crisis Call Center Specialist, you will be responsible for providing telephone de-escalation, emergency services intervention, and setting up follow up calls for continued monitoring of those individuals that are deemed to be at moderate to high risk (according to the Columbia Suicide Severity Scale Short-Form). Under the guidance of the supervisor and Call Center Clinician, you will respond to local callers, as well as answering the 988 hotline. The Crisis Call Center Specialist will also be responsible to provide linkage to local resources as needed.
This position has the potential to be a high stressed job.
**This is a part-time position and will work approximately 0-19 hours per week. This positions will primarily work 8:00AM-4:00PM Saturday and Sundays, with fill in and week day shifts as needed. **
What do we look for in our Crisis Call Center Specialists??
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Previous experience working with individuals with mental health and substance use is preferred.
- Bachelors degree in a related field preferred
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and to be sensitive to the cultural needs of the clients and their families.
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Must be personable, reliable, and organized.
Pay for this position is starting at $15/hour (depending on education and experience, it may be higher) with a $2 differential to work evenings, nights, and weekends. $500 signing bonus after 3 months
