Hopewell Health Centers is a nationally accredited federally qualified health and community mental health center with 23 sites across TEN counties throughout Southeastern Ohio (Athens, Franklin, Gallia, Hocking, Jackson, Meigs, Perry, Ross, Vinton, and Washington). We are currently seeking an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Liaison to work with our Gallipolis, OH Behavioral Health teams.

As an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Liaison you will be responsible for but not limited to developing and maintaining connections with Early Childhood stakeholders in designated counties targeted in the Whole Child Matters grant and maintain contact with stakeholders linking them to local ECMH resources. You will establish and maintain a professional working relationship with the early childhood staff in the community and implement programmatic, classroom-specific, individual child/family consultation plans in conjunction with early childhood staff and parents. The Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Liaison will also be responsible for coordinating with regional stakeholders in early childhood to provide follow-up after ECMH consultation. This position requires you, in collaboration with persons served and/or family/legal guardian, to develop an individualized service plan (ISP) for each person in the program to achieve behavior change, increased quality of life, and the best outcomes possible for the people we serve. Generate a current, legible integrated clinical record (ICR), in which documentation reflects a clear clinical picture for assigned person served.

What do we require from our Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Liaisons?

• Eligible to work in the United States
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or closely related field and a LSW is preferred
• Education & experience working with children under 6 and their families; experience with early childhood systems (e.g. public preschools, Help Me Grow, child care settings)
• Ability to work independently and align work with team & relate to a variety of professionals and parents of young children;
• Demonstrates the skills and ability to effectively communicate and work with persons receiving service, their families, community service providers, and team members in the assessment, problem solving, and delivery of rehabilitative services; the ability to effectively communicate in written form.
• Valid Driver’s License, automobile insurance, good driving record, and suitable vehicle for transportation of persons served and the ability to assist persons in and out of a vehicle.
