Teacher Assistant in High School

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. This position involves working closely with children, assisting with daily activities, and ensuring that each student receives the attention and care they need to thrive.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
• Provide individualized support to students, fostering their academic and social development.
• Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the lead teacher.
• Help maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
• Administer medication as required, following care plans and protocols.
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other staff members to ensure comprehensive care for students.
• Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities.

Experience

• Previous experience in a caregiving or educational setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with medication administration, care plans, and long-term care practices is a plus.
• Knowledge of CPR techniques and dementia care will be beneficial.
• Background in social work or home health/community care is advantageous but not required.
• A strong commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment for all students.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
